Manuel is currently being held at LaSalle ICE Processing Center in Jena, Louisiana.

Letters sent to detainees must include the last four digits of the detainee’s A-number (Alien Number) and they must include the sender’s name and address.

On their website, it says that the mail is not read upon opening but all mail is subject to screening for contraband and the delivering officer will open the envelope and inspect it.

To send a letter, postcard or any other item, address the envelope to:

Manuel L. Duran Ortega A# 2678
LaSalle ICE Processing Center
830 Pine Hill Road
Jena, LA 71342

Manuel can receive books.

Keep in mind that they need to be in Spanish. The book needs to be paperback, it can’t be graphic, and you need to make sure you include the last four digits of his A-Number.

If your mail is not delivered, it will be returned to you. The delivering officer usually writes the reason why it wasn’t delivered on the envelope for you to know.
